Beware! Anthony Troeger is a fraudster. This is a factual account of my experience with Anthony Troeger, Licensed Professional Investigator, regarding locator services he purported to provide.
Anthony Troeger is President/CEO of Aardwolf International, a Cary NC firm that provides investigative and protective services.
Troeger offered, billed, and was paid $400 in June 2017 for two "pinging" locator services he neither performed nor intended to perform as he was fully aware that pinging is a Federal crime. At the time I needed to locate an evasive individual for process service and was unaware that pinging was illegal. As a client I trusted and relied on Troeger's ethical/professional conduct and he took advantage of my predicament.
The pinged locations Anthony Troeger identified using Maps were fabricated and years later proven false. At the time I communicated to Troeger the locations he identified seemed highly unusual and requested additional services per his email response noted above.
Troeger's pinging misrepresentations also necessitated consultation with a criminal defense attorney regarding my potential criminal liability. In addition, a formal complaint was filed in 2021 with the Private Protective Services Board and they responded as follows:
Our office has received and reviewed the complaint you filed against Anthony Troeger. We are unable to initiate an investigation into this matter, as the statute of limitations has expired and we no longer have jurisdiction to investigate.
Despite knowledge he caused me considerable litigation issues and expenses as a result of his misconduct Anthony Troeger failed to provide reimbursement for these fraudulent fees.
I trusted Anthony Troeger and he deceived me. The price of that trust was Anthony Troeger's betrayal during what he knew was a very difficult time which is the case when most people have a need to hire a private investigator. Anthony Troeger's conduct went far deeper than mere greed - his actions demonstrated a complete absence of decency and conscience with such ease and that begs a troubling question - how many other clients has he defrauded.
As a result of Anthony Troeger's refusal to reimburse his fraudulent fees this site was created to expose his deceptive and unfair business practices. Troeger responded as follows:
Based on his extensive law enforcement background as a former Federal agent Anthony Troeger orchestrated my arrest and I was charged with stalking and Felony Extortion. These false and malicious charges were promptly dismissed by a Judge.
During a District Court hearing Anthony Troeger arrogantly and defiantly testified under oath to having tracking devices placed on my vehicles to know my exact whereabouts - stalking me and those close to me for months. Over 90 signs placed throughout Wilson County directing the public to this website have been stolen and Anthony Troeger admitted stealing dozens of these signs. An individual monitoring a sign located in the median adjacent to the Starbucks at Heritage Crossing in Wilson, NC observed a middle-aged female with grayish hair steal this sign on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 9:22 AM. This female, purported to be Troeger's wife, placed the sign in the back of a blue Toyota SUV and drove away. Despite the theft of these signs the ever-growing number of unique visitors to this website continues unabated.
Without cause or basis Anthony Troeger has invaded my privacy and has over 200 (yes, two hundred) surveillance videos of me living my daily life. As a result of Anthony Troeger's conduct a Judge issued a temporary Emergency No-Contact Order against him as a protective measure for me. Should this information prevent one potential client from enduring similar treatment by Anthony Troeger it will serve its purpose. All the support in sharing this information is appreciated.
